Silver Springs - Gators, Monkeys and Manatees, Oh My!

Perfect for those who don't want to paddle for 4 hours and prefer to relax in comfort as they explore the Silver Springs State Forest by river. The BEST time is early mornings, when the birds, manatees, monkeys, and other river creatures are most active...and fewer kayaks to share the river with.



You'll be cruising on one of the newest pontoon boats, the SeaDoo Switch, which offers comfortable cushioned seating for 7 (including the driver), 4 corner tables with cupholders, a bimini for shade, and even cruise control for added ease.



Whatever you do, don't forget your camera or smartphone, because you'll want to record all of the sights and sounds of this scenic river. You'll undoubtedly see Anhingas perched on an overhanging branch with their wings spread out to dry, and turtles lined up along a half-sunken log basking in the sun. Don't be surprised if you spot a few alligators along the way, not to mention ducks, Ibis, herons, manatees and possibly even monkeys! The entire river is protected from civilization and teeming with wildlife...you just have to open your eyes!



Your trip will take you to the very source of the Silver River, the clear blue waters of Silver Springs, known for hosting TV episodes of Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges, shooting many of the old Tarzan movies starring Johnny Weissmuller, along with a myriad of other movies like Creature From The Black Lagoon and Rebel Without A Cause.



After looking deep into the clear waters of Silver Springs, you'll retrace your path back downstream along the meandering river. As your trip draws to a close back at the Ray Wayside boat ramp, you'll be left with memories of a truly unforgettable experience!



• 7-personal maximum (incl driver) which means your cost is less that $60 pp for a truly memorable experience!

• All launches are from the Ray Wayside Park, NE 28th Ln, Silver Springs, FL 34488

• The boat will be ready to board upon arrival. The $8 (cash) per car park entrance fee (as you enter) is not included.

• Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to go over instructions, a safety briefing, and check-in

• Estimated round trip time is 4 hrs. A cooler is provided should you wish to bring drinks or snacks for your journey

• The pontoon boat is USCG certified. Life vests are located under each seat, which includes 2 child vests.

• You may request a driver/guide for your trip (FREE) providing you have no more than 6 passengers booked for the ride.

• NOTE: While Silver Springs River is known for it's wild monkeys and manatees, we cannot guarantee you'll see them, but other guests have yet to return without seeing one or both along the way.
