Unlike wakeboarding, you start with a tow rope but eventually let go and ride the wave freely, just like ocean surfing—but without the need for tides or swells.



If you're looking for more adrenaline and airtime, wakeboarding delivers. Combining the excitement of snowboarding, water skiing, and skateboarding, wakeboarding on Lake Tahoe is pure stoke from start to finish. Wakeboarding involves riding a board with foot bindings while being towed behind a boat at higher speeds than wakesurfing. The boat’s wake acts as a natural ramp for riders to launch into the air and perform spins, flips, grabs, and other tricks.
