⭐EXAMPLE SIGHTSEEING TOUR BY BOAT⭐

🌴4 HOURS: RIVERWALK, MANSIONS, SANDBAR, WHISKEY CREEK - Depart our dock, look for Manatees in the shallows while passing the nature preserve, then glide by dozens of mega yachts at Lauderdale Marine Center, cruise through Downtown Fort Lauderdale's Riverwalk luxury high-rises on the New River, slide past the mansions of Millionaire's Row, stop and anchor at the Sandbar or head South on the Intracoastal Waterway to Port Everglades to see the Cruise Ships, then a few more minutes south to Whiskey Creek, where you have time to beach the boat for an hour or more, have lunch at the Whiskey Creek Hideaway, walk over the dunes to the beach on the Atlantic Ocean, and return home. Update: As of October 2025 there is an entrance fee at Whiskey Creek to enter the waters of the State Park.

#️⃣HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT ABOARD? Coast Guard maximum capacities: 11 PERSONS or 1,600 POUNDS of PERSONS and EQUIPMENT. In reality, the boat can comfortably seat 6 or up to 9 Average Adults depending on the total weight of persons and equipment. MAX CAPACITY EXAMPLES: 6 Avg. Adult Men /OR/ 8 Avg. Adult Women /OR/ 11 total persons = 2 Avg. Adult Men + 4 Avg. Adult Women + 2 Avg. Large Children + 2 Avg. Small Children + 1 Avg. Toddler. Not sure if you fit? Send us a message!

🆔DO I NEED A BOATING LICENSE? Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1988, who will be operating a boat in Florida waters with an engine of ten (10) horsepower or more is required to complete an approved boating safety course and obtain a Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card. If you were born before 1988, you are EXEMPT from the Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card requirements. Minimum age to rent is 25 years old.

🪪WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE THE ID CARD? Take the Florida Boater Safety Course ONLINE and get a temporary certificate the SAME DAY. See: Florida Fish and Wildlife website for details.

⌛WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE DOCK? Please arrive at our dock AT LEAST 30 MINUTES before your scheduled booking departure time. If you are late arriving, that may cause you to be late in departing, and no additional time will be added to extending your scheduled return time, without incurring additional rental fees for overtime. Overtime is prorated and billed in whole-hours at the hourly rental rate of your booking.

🌛WHAT IS THE LATEST TIME I CAN RETURN? The Boatsetter insurance policy requires the boat be returned to our dock before sunset.

➕ADD ONS? You can rent Inflatable Paddleboards/ Kayaks, Inflatable Lounger/Island, Individual Floating Saddles/Mats, Coolers, Ice.

🏃‍♀️HOW FAST IS THE BOAT? All parts of the New River, and most parts of the Intracoastal Waterway that you can reach during a 4 hour booking are designated "slow speed" zones (e.g. 5 - 7 mph).

⛽HOW MUCH FUEL IS INCLUDED? The boat will have at least 1/4 a tankful of fuel at time of departure. (Total fuel capacity is 45 gallons). Boat burns about 1 to 1.5 gallons/hour at low speeds.

⚓WHERE IS THE BOAT? Boat is on a private dock near the I-95 Davie Blvd exit, on the South Fork of the New River. Exact address is provided in your booking confirmation documents.

📍CAN YOU DELIVER THE BOAT TO MIAMI/POMPANO/BOCA? No, your charter begins and ends at our dock on the New River in Fort Lauderdale.

🚀Travel time from our dock to the Fort Lauderdale Sandbar is about 1/2 hour, and about 1 hour to Port Everglades.

🅿️WHERE CAN I PARK MY CAR? You may park up to 2 cars in our driveway during your trip, but only 1 car if you hired a Captain.

✅ALLOWED: Alcoholic Beverages (except red wine), Glass Bottles, Food, Anchoring/Beaching, Swimming, Kids Under 12, Soft Soled Shoes.

🚫NOT ALLOWED: Fishing, Pets, Cigarette/Cigar Smoking (Vaping allowed), Open Flames/Cooking, Intoxication (BUI).

🎖️CAN I HIRE A CAPTAIN? Yes you can hire a captain through the Boatsetter website/app. IMPORTANT NOTE: Captains can be hard to book on short notice, and they are independent from the boat owner. We do not have control over the Captain's schedule, so just because you selected one at the time of booking doesn't mean that the Captain has accepted your booking.

💯WHY SHOULD I HIRE A CAPTAIN? The Intracoastal Waterway is relatively easy to navigate, but to get there you'll need to transit the New River first, and the river can be difficult to navigate for the novice boater. It's narrow in spots and has several blind corners. There can be heavy small boat traffic at times, and you can encounter enormous mega-yachts being towed in the river, making passing stressful, difficult or impossible. Let a licensed Captain who is familiar with the river handle the stress, so you can relax!

🛟DOES THE BOAT HAVE SAFETY EQUIPMENT? Yes! Boat is equipped with 8 @ Type I Adult PFDs, 4 @ Type II Adult PFDs, 2 @ Type I 50-90 lbs. Children's PFDs, 1@ Type III 50-90 lbs. Children's PFD, 1 @ Type III 30-50 lbs. Children's PFD, and 1 @ Type IV Throwable PFD. Boat is equipped with all required distress and marine signaling devices, and s small first aid supplies kit.

📻DOES THE BOAT HAVE MARINE VHF? In addition to all of the other safety equipment required by law, the boat is equipped with a VHF radio, and while on the New River, all boaters must monitor VHF Channel 9 to avoid conflicts/collisions with larger vessels transiting the New River from Lauderdale Marine Center to Markers 9 and 10.

🦺WHAT IS THE LIFE JACKET LAW FOR CHILDREN, TODDLERS, INFANTS? A child under the age of six must wear a USCG-approved Type I, II or III personal flotation device (PFD) while onboard a vessel under 26 feet in length while the vessel is underway. We have available: 1 Type III 30-50 lbs. Children's PFD, and 1 Type III 50-90 lbs. Children's PFD.

🍼DO YOU HAVE INFANT AND TODDLER PFDs: No. The vessel is not equipped with Toddler/Infant PFDs, the Renter must provide their own, and they must me worn while the vessel is underway, under Florida law.

🚹🚺IS THERE A RESTROOM AT THE DOCK? Yes! There is a clean and modern private bathroom with a fresh water flush toilet, hot and cold running water lavatory at the boat dock.

🚽IS THERE A TOILET ON THE BOAT? No, but there is a 5 gallon plastic bucket stowed aboard for temporary containment of human waste, which may be used only in case of emergency. If human waste disposal is required, you will be charged a $100 disposal fee.

🏄‍♂️CAN I USE THE LIFEJACKETS AS RECREATIONAL FLOATS? No, but we have other recreational floats for rent. Lifejackets (PFDs) and throwable PFDs are for emergency use only. If any PFDs are used for non-emergency purposes, you will be charged a $50 cleaning/drying/repacking fee (except for the children's type III PFDs which may be used in the water).

🏖️DO YOU HAVE A FLORIDA LIVERY PERMIT? Yes! We have an active State of Florida Livery Permit allowing us to rent motorized vessels.

🏅DOES THE BOAT HAVE A FLORIDA FREEDOM BOATER STICKER? Yes! We are proud to be the FIRST BOAT in Broward County to have the new Florida Freedom Boater Sticker displayed on the boat, after the Florida Legislature passed the law in earlier in 2025. (Search the web about limitations on marine law enforcement vessel searches and the benefits of displaying the FFB Sticker on Florida waters). Thank you Governor Ron DeSantis!
