40' Chris Craft Venetian Water Taxi Rental

Spend a fantastic day on the water in South Lake Tahoe, California by boat! Charter a vintage 1953 40' Golden Rose Chris Craft Venetian Water Taxi for up to 20 people. You may swim during your rental with a minimum of a 3 hour charter, but water sports are not available with this boat.

This boat is ideal for bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversary celebrations, engagements, team building, business retreats, employee rewards, entertaining clients or just because… the possibilities are endless!



You may bring your own food and drinks for no additional charge. We can anchor for swimming or cruise the lake listening to your custom playlist. There is a bathroom on board, we have life jackets for all ages. Life jackets are required for children under 13.



The 40ft Golden Rose Chris Craft Venetian Water Taxi was built in 1953 as a Chris Craft Double Cabin Fly Bridge Cruiser and was originally named “In the Mood”. In December of 1996, a blizzard hit the Pacific Northwest and pummeled the Puget Sound marinas. The snow collapsed several roofs of the marina boat docks, damaging hundreds of boats, sinking over 300, one of which was In The Mood. She was partially sunk and heavily damaged, she was taken to a boatyard to be scrapped. Thankfully, she was saved and rebuilt in the style of a Venetian Water Taxi. She was purchased and shipped to Lake Tahoe in 2016 and has been enjoying her new life, in freshwater, ever since.



Gas, Captain, Crew and gratuity is included with the rental price. This is a Coast Guard Inspected vessel, Captain and Crew are required and included with your rental. You may not drive the boat yourself.
