Bookings with 7 or more passengers must be structured as a bareboat charter per U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Under this structure, the captain and fuel are handled as a separate charge from the charter booking.
• Captain + Fuel Fee (7–10 Passengers) | $100 Per Hour
•This separate charge is due at departure/check-in.
For charters with 6 or less people the captain is provided and in the cost collected at booking. You do NOT owe anything additional upon arrival.

Boat Assignment
For this booking, you are not reserving a specific boat. We operate multiple 25–28 ft speed boats and pontoons, and we assign the best fit on the day of the charter based on group size and preferred activities. If you strongly prefer a specific boat, tell us at the time of booking and we’ll confirm whether it’s available and whether we can accommodate the request.

Location And Pickup
All charters must start and end at Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe. We cannot legally pick up or drop off guests at other locations around the lake.

Captain Requirement
All charters include a captain. In most cases, we provide a qualified captain for your trip.
If you’d like to operate the boat yourself, it may be possible for qualified operators on a case-by-case basis. To be considered, you must meet applicable licensing, insurance, and local experience requirements.
• Credential | appropriate captain credentials required by law
• Insurance | qualifying coverage required for the vessel and marina
• Experience | significant prior operating experience on Lake Tahoe
To request self-drive, send us a message through Boatsetter and we’ll confirm whether it can be approved for your trip. If you want us to assign the captain nothing else is needed, we will automatically have a captain ready for you upon arrival.
