Is the charter suitable for families with children?

Absolutely! Our charters are family-friendly, and we take extra care to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, including children. Life jackets and safety measures are provided.



What should I bring for the charter?

We recommend bringing sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and any personal items you may need. Comfortable clothing and non-slip shoes are also advised. Snacks and beverages are welcome, but alcohol consumption should be in moderation.



Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, you're welcome to bring your own food and beverages. Water and/or seltzer will be provided. If you bring alcohol, only beer, wine, and other non-liquor beverages will be allowed on board. Buzzards Bay Yacht Charters reserves the right to cancel or suspend any charter without a refund due to overly intoxicated guests.



Can I bring my pet on the charter?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on board to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.



Are gratuities included in the charter price?

Gratuities are not included in the charter price. If you enjoyed your experience and wish to tip the crew, it is greatly appreciated.



Can we fish during the charter?

We are not equipped as a sports fishing boat.



Do you provide life jackets for children?

Yes, we provide life jackets for guests of all ages, including children. Safety is our top priority.



Is there parking available near the departure point?

Yes, there is plenty of parking available at Mattapoisett Boatyard. Park near the fuel dock and take the launch to your charter yacht; Petrel or Hamlet.



Can we bring a professional photographer on board for special events?

Absolutely! We welcome professional photographers to capture your special moments. Please inform us in advance to make the necessary arrangements.



What type of wildlife might we encounter during the charter?

Buzzards Bay is known for its rich marine life. Depending on the season, you might spot dolphins, seals, and various seabirds. Our captains are experienced in providing information about the local wildlife.
